I only contacted Keyglaze yesterday and Laura arranged for Dan and Mike to come out today. The lads were lovely, professional, knowledgeable and fitted the new lock quickly and efficiently. As my daughter is autistic, she struggles with any change so Laura let me know when the lads were on their way so I could get her settled. I can’t fault this company and would definitely use them again.

To replace a barrel in a front door lock which was twisted, would lock from outside but not inside.

I am so pleased and delighted with this company. Dan got back to me straight away following my telephone request for a quote. He requested clear information and gave a competitive quote and a suggested set of dates for the work to be carried out. He and Michael arrived on time, did everything they said they would (and give a window a tweak to sort it out gratis!) and when they left- apart from the now perfect fitting windows!) you wouldn’t know they had been. After speaking with Laura on the phone explaining my situation with my door on my bi folds that wouldn’t lock she gave me a price and let me know when job could be done. They were on time and explained what the issues were and what was happening to fix it. Great service all round and will definitely be using them again.

This is the second time we have used Dan and can only say positive things about him. Our front door locking mechanism broke and Dan was onsite quickly to identify and fix the lock. He also re-aligned the door to ensure it didn’t happen again.

Needed an emergency locksmith thinking lock was broke and Dan noticed it wasn’t the lock but door not straight preventing lock working, so straightened the door really quickly and problem fixed rapidly.

Brilliant. Door was sticking. They realigned the door and explained the cost of the job to fix it compared to the cost of a new door. Explained everything really well. Absolutely fantastic service from the first phone call. I sent a photo of the damage and size of the unit. Within minutes I was given a Quote over WhatsApp. I requested this via email for my insurance company. Again within minutes email was sent. I booked the job. Then within 30 min someone came out measured up. The .Price was confirmed as quoted and the unit was made and fitted within two hours . The guys removed the shattered glass and fitted the new unit. Removing all broken glass leaving the house and garden tidy. All staff I spoke to were friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

Well overdue review!!
Dan came out to initially board up and then replace the glass panel in my door following it shattering. He came within 45minutes of calling him on a Sunday – prompt, efficient and friendly service. Dan was chatty and pleasant. Reasonable prices. When Dan returned just three days later to fit the glass he went above the call of duty also fixing my step at no extra cost! Highly recommended, wouldn’t hesitate to contact again.

Would highly recommend, appointment was made but we received a call asking if they could come a bit earlier, which was great. Very polite and professional, did a great job and cleaned up leaving no evidence he was ever in the house. Kept me up to date with what he was doing and didn’t mind my dogs all over him when he first arrived. Can’t recommend enough. Great job.

“The work was completed within the time to allow for the fixed price to be maintained. The work was at the home of my mother who is in her 90s. After I had left her house, she phoned me to say that the door handle was too stiff for her to open it. When I phoned Dan, he was very busy but agreed to find time between jobs to go to my mother’s house. I got to the house just a few minutes before him and he adjusted the locking mechanisms so that my mother could easily lock or unlock the door. No extra charge was requested. I recommend this tradesman.”

Are UPVC windows and doors maintenance Free?

Should you buy new windows and doors? or repair them?

When UPVC windows and doors were first introduced on the 90`s there main selling advantage was they were “Maintenance Free”. No such thing! anything that has moving or operating parts can not be maintenance free. Wood windows should be treated/painted every year and hinges and locks serviced at the same time, And so do UPVC windows and doors. They don’t need painted but to freshen them up you can use a alcohol based solution/restorer which removes grime and makes them look new. The hinges should be lubricated once a year with silicone spray or graphite paste (we don’t use WD40 as it dries out parts over time) and the same treatment should be given to your window locking mechanism.

Maintaining your windows and doors will prolong their life and if these parts fail they can be easily replaced by us. We repair Window hinges, Window handles, Window mechanisms, Glass, Door cylinders, Door multi-point locking systems, Letterplates, Door hinges and door panels.
